The Samarinda Municipality experienced year-on-year inflation of 1.51 percent in November 2024

Abstract

In November 2024, there was year-on-year (y-on-y) inflation in Samarinda Municipality of 1.51 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 106.36.

Inflation y-on-y occurred due to an increase in prices indicated by an increase in almost all expenditure group indices, namely the food, beverage, and tobacco group by 1.31 percent; clothing and footwear group by 3.00 percent; housing, water, electricity, and household fuel group by 0.90 percent; health group by 4.89 percent; recreation, sports, and culture group by 1.21 percent; education group by 1.87 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group by 3.25 percent; and personal care and other services group by 6.00 percent. In addition, there were three expenditure groups that experienced deflation, namely the household equipment, equipment, and routine maintenance group by 0.29 percent; transportation group by 0.81 percent; and the information, communication, and financial services group by 0.88 percent.

The month-to-month (m-to-m) inflation rate and the year-to-date (y-to-d) inflation rate of Samarinda Municipality in November 2024 were 0.12 percent and 1.22 percent, respectively.
