Therefore, rice has a big enough role and becomes a very important variable in the calculation of the Consumer Price Index (CPI) and inflation both regionally and nationally. The report on the Retail Rice Sales Volume Survey aims that to obtain data on rice sales objectively and actually, bearing in mind that the types of rice commodities traded and consumed by the public are quite diverse. Data obtained from the conduct of this survey will be used as a weighting figure for the price of rice for each market based on quality, in calculating the average weighted rice price in Samarinda City.
