Abstract

Rice commodity is a basic need of Indonesian people, including in Samarinda City as the capital of East Kalimantan Province. Therefore rice has a big enough role and becomes a very important variable in calculating the Consumer Price Index (CPI) and inflation. Given the type / quality of rice traded and consumed by the public quite a lot, the Central Statistics Agency of East Kalimantan Province held a Sales Volume Survey Retail rice which aims to get data about rice sales. The data obtained will be used to calculate the average weighted rice price in the calculation of CPI in Samarinda City.
