Abstract

Kalimantan Timur pada bulan Mei 2008 mengalami inflasi sebesar 1,33 persen, atau terjadi Kenaikan Indeks Harga Konsumen (IHK) dari 167,85 pada bulan April 2008 menjadi 170,08 pada bulan Mei 2008. Dengan angka inflasi tersebut, maka laju inflasi tahun kalender 2008 Januari-Mei 2008) Kalimantan Timur telah mencapai 5,91 persen dan laju inflasi ‘year on year’ mencapai 12, 54 persen.
Kota Samarinda mengalami inflasi sebesar 2,08 persen dan Kota Balikpapan mengalami inflasi sebesar 0,45 persen. Dengan demikian untuk kedua kota ini laju inflasi laju inflasi tahun kalender 2008 (Januari-Mei 2008) masing-masing telah mencapai 6,72 dan 4,97 persen dan laju inflasi ’year on year’ (Mei 2008-Mei 2007) masing-masing mencapai 13,53 dan 11,38 persen.
