Samarinda Municipality Targets National Achievement through Village Fond of Statistics Socialization

BPS–Statistics Samarinda Municipality, in collaboration with the Samarinda Municipality Government, conducted the socialization of the Village Fond of Statistics (Beautiful Village) Program for Regional Apparatus Organizations (OPD) and representatives of all sub-district governments in Samarinda Municipality on Monday (January 27, 2026). The activity was facilitated by the Samarinda Municipality Communication and Informatics Office, which served as the coordination hub for cross-sector collaboration.
The Head of the Samarinda Municipality Communication and Informatics Office, Dr. Aji Syarif Hidayatullah, S.Sos., M.Psi., emphasized that the Village Fond of Statistics Program is a national statistical development initiative launched by BPS and requires strong support from all OPDs. He stated that cross-sector collaboration is essential to establish integrated, accurate, high-quality, and sustainable data planning to support future development.
Meanwhile, the Head of BPS–Statistics Samarinda Municipality, Supriyanto, S.ST., explained that the Village Fond of Statistics Program aims to strengthen data literacy and data governance at the village and sub-district levels. This effort is expected to ensure that the data produced are accurate, standardized, and suitable for use in development planning. He further highlighted that the success of this program depends heavily on cooperation between OPDs as sectoral data producers and users, as well as sub-district and village governments as frontline data managers within their respective administrative areas.
The socialization activity was attended by representatives from the Regional Development Planning, Research, and Innovation Agency (Bapperida), the Women’s Empowerment and Child Protection Agency (DP2PA), the Population Control and Family Planning Agency (DPPKB), the Social and Community Empowerment Agency, the Population and Civil Registration Agency, as well as representatives from all sub-district governments in Samarinda Municipality. Through the implementation of the Village Fond of Statistics Program, Samarinda Municipality is expected to strengthen data-driven development and achieve recognition at the national level.
