Launching and Socialization of the Village Fond of Statistics Program 2025

May 16, 2025 | Other Activities

On Thursday (15/05), BPS-Statistics Samarinda Municipality, in collaboration with the Samarinda Municipality Government, held the Launching and Socialization of the Village Fond of Statistics Program 2025. The activity aims to introduce the program as a national initiative to enhance statistical literacy, awareness, and the active participation of sub-district/village officials and communities in managing statistics at the local level.

The event was conducted in a hybrid format—offline at the Public Service Mall Building of the Samarinda Municipality Investment and One-Stop Integrated Service Office, and online with the participation of representatives from all districts and sub-districts across Samarinda Municipality. This socialization served as an initial step to familiarize stakeholders with the objectives and mechanisms of the Village Fond of Statistics Program.

For the 2025 implementation, Bukit Pinang Village was selected as the locus of the program in Samarinda City. The Head of Bukit Pinang and prospective statistical agents from the village also participated in the event, marking the beginning of the program's implementation in the area.

The launching ceremony included the signing of a joint agreement by key stakeholders to ensure the program’s success. Signatories included the Head of BPS-Statistics Samarinda Municipality, Ad Interim Assistant for Government and Public Welfare (Assistant I) of the Samarinda Municipality Government, Samarinda Municipality Communication and Information Office, Regional Development Planning, Research, and Innovation Agency (Bapperida), Social and Community Empowerment Office, and the Head of Samarinda Ulu District.

Also in attendance was the Head of Dadi Mulya Village—the locus of the 2024 Village Fond of Statistics implementation—who shared insights and outcomes from last year’s program, highlighting its tangible impacts at the village level.

Representatives from Mulawarman University were also present, underscoring the potential for future collaboration with academic institutions to further enrich the program’s implementation and extend its benefits to a broader audience.
