Updating the Census Block Content for the March 2025 National Socio-Economic Survey (Susenas)

The census block content update for the March 2025 National Socio-Economic Survey (Susenas) was conducted from February 1 to 6, 2025. The field updates were carried out door to door, visiting each residential building to verify and confirm family or household information on the update list, in accordance with census block coverage. The update list used was VSEN25.P, with data sources derived from the SP2020 family/household lists or the latest survey update results. This serves as the initial household sample framework, which will be updated again for the March 2025 Susenas.

Additionally, the March 2025 Susenas update will be utilized as the sample framework for the 2025 Quarterly Household Economic Survey (Seruti). In the first quarter of 2025, the Seruti sample census block will be a subsample of the March 2025 Susenas census block. Within each selected census block, a sample of 10 households was chosen.
